A second win in succession for the City of Dundee! This was another superb result & leaves the 'City' with full points from two games played.

The 'City' included another 3 new players in the side, although there was one change from the previously announced line-up. John Mulholland was unavailable & Tony Hume took the lead position in Mark Biondi's rink.

The 'City', once again, started the game quickly & were soon ahead. The weather conditions were excellent with both the players & spectators enjoying the bright sunshine. The opening gap of 10-12 shots was steadily being maintained & then slowly increased to 19 shots, as Dundee led 70-51 with around two thirds of the game played. Buchan though pushed on & actually had a 1 shot advantage at 83-82. The 'City' team though, refused to buckle & finished strongly to power ahead in the closing stages to win by 10 shots.

There were some excellent 'City' performances on the day, but special mention goes to Kevin Brunton & his rink for an excellent 29 shot victory, against a skip playing on his own green.

22 May 2010  -  ANGUS  108  v  120  CITY OF DUNDEE BA  -  RESULT

Celebrations for the third week in a row, as the 'City' achieved yet another fantastic result - this time against their near neighbours, Angus BA. This was another well deserved victory & was the first 'City' win versus Angus for a number of years. The 'City' led from start to finish & although Angus made a spirited attempt to edge ahead in the last third of the game, Dundee once again, with their new found determination, refused to surrender their lead & saw out the final few ends to take the game by a comfortable 12 shots.  This result, together with a defeat for Northern Couties, means The City of Dundee lead the Northern Section table.

5 June 2010  -  BON ACCORD  121  v  112  CITY OF DUNDEE BA  -  RESULT

The City of Dundee lost their first match of this seasons Andrew Hamilton Trophy series by the narrow margin of 9 shots. There were two changes to previously announced line-up with both David Briggs & Eddie Mason replacing John Mulholland & Roger Smith, who were unavailable.  Once again, the 'City' started the game quickly and, had soon established a lead.  They held that lead until Bon Accord managed to edge slightly ahead 65-64 at around the half-way stage.  The 'City', as they had done throughout this campaign, managed to re-group & re-take the initiative.  With the ends gradually reducing, Bon Accord were able to firstly, get on equal terms at 99 shots each then, move ahead by virtue of a strong finish by most of the home rinks, to win the game 121-112.

A disappointing result for the 'City', but one that still keeps them well in contention for at least a top two finish!
